A marine is a member of the military force as like in an army but the marines are a part of navy which are infantry. Marine is an entry level post in the navy infantry. In most of the countries they have marines which are a part of navy but there are some exceptions also where marines work independently. Youths in every country want to become a marine corps as it is one of the best career options for them and the other thing is that one gets to serve their country. The only doubt in the minds of aspirants is that how to become a marine and what are the eligibility criteria to become a marine. In the current scenario American marine fleet is considered to be the best and the biggest in the world. The eligibility criteria to become a marine are that any male or female can become a marine if their age is between 17 and 29.  They should have a high school diploma or be working towards that diploma. 

It is not at all easy to become a marine as it requires a lot of determination and hardwork to be one of them. After being eligible to become one the next step is to apply at the Marine Corps regional office and apply on a form and meet the marine recruiters and know what is expected of them. One needs to pass a pre recruitment strength test to be inducted into the marine training program.

After the inclusion in the training program one will go for a thirteen week rigorous training program after this training program one becomes a member of the US marine but now the candidate will join the infantry division of the navy and will go for a fifty days training program there also. If one is selected in the non infantry division then they will go for a combat training program. This is a rewarding career where a person is proud of working for their country and one should hold it for a long time.
